  Just what is Clockwork Orange about? Well, this is actually a pretty graphic film that deals with lots of disturbing and sensitive topics. If that isn’t your thing, we advise that you skip this review! TW: topics of rape and assault are mentioned As always, there will be slight spoilers below. So, avoid reading further if you don’t want to be spoiled! . . . . This movie starts off with our main character and antagonist Alex. Alex is a violent juvenile delinquent who commits many horrendous crimes with his fellow posse of thugs. Soon after they commit their first failed break-in, the plot of the movie starts to kick off. Alex and his gang first break into a couples’ house, and graphically beat and rape them. After this, they proceed to try and break into a different lady’s house, but to no avail. Alien is without a doubt one of the most influential movies of all time for it’s visual presentation, characters and most of all the Xenomorph. The impact Alien has had on the sci-fi and horror genre is still felt in modern movies, but does Alien still hold up to today's sci-fi standards? Alien follows a crew of space merchants that are returning to Earth from a successful mining operation. They receive a distress call from a planet and one of the members is attacked by a creature. The crew then finds themselves being hunted by an unknown alien. The big question: Does the storyline make sense? Most definitely! The premise of Alien is very simple in nature, but it’s the writing that makes the story of Alien such a compelling film.         So, how good is Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)? Well for starters, this extraterrestrial mystery movie has its ups and downs, and we’ll be discussing all of them in this post! warning : As with most film reviews, there will be slight spoilers below the cut. So, avoid reading further if you don’t want to be spoiled! . . . This movie quickly takes off with a scene of our main character, Dr. Miles Bennell, being questioned by doctors for being crazy and dazed. After a confusing introduction, it gets straight into the beginning of how this all came about. So, it all takes place in the fictional town of Santa Mira, California. After returning from a trip out of town, Miles notices that many people are acting odd, saying that their beloved ones are “imposters”. He shrugs this off, but soon comes to realize that it’s much more serious than that.
