Just what is Blade Runner all about? Is it even a good film? Well in this review we will be discussing the ups and downs of this sci-fi film! As always, there will be slight spoilers below the cut. This film starts out in the future of 2019 (keeping in mind that this film was made in 1982) with our main character Rick Deckard, a retired blade runner. Though he’s retired, he is summoned again to hunt down and destroy these rouge androids, referred to as “replicants”. In order for Deckard to find these replicants, he has to navigate his way through the cyber streets of LA. Along the way he’s constantly plagued with the question “What does it mean to be a human?” This is how the film begins to unfold and expand!
